How to watch every Star Wars® movie and series in the perfect order!

I have been a lover of the Star Wars franchise since I was a kid. I watched them over and over and over practically wearing out the VHS copy my dad got in 1982 (I still have that original VHS copy). The first Star Wars film I actually got to see in the theatre was Return of the Jedi in 1983 (I was 7 years old). Well, if you are a Star Wars lover like I am then you might appreciate this. For several years now I have had the tradition of watching every Star Wars movie, short, animated series, etc. in chronological (time-line) order from start to finish. With all the recent series being released I started to write down the exact order to watch them for one continuous integrated storyline which, I actually consult each year (because getting older sucks and trying to remember all this detail is taxing). I figured I'd share it with you as well. I start in November and depending on my schedule it could take all the way until the end of February or early March to finish them all. Each year as new series are release and new seasons of series I adjust my timetables and weave the new stuff into the official canon timeline as best I can. There are some series like Obi Wan Kenobi that show times from order 66 that don't get waved in, because in the grand scheme of things they make better sense as flash-backs.

Keep in mind that there an almost endless array of official novels, junior novels, script books, comics, and a bunch more that are all considered part of the canon or legends. I am not including that information here as it doesn't really apply to watching all the shows and movies in timeline order. However, I am including the info on one of the comic books, two of the novels, and two video games that are part of the canon. The games are just fun and do fit in the storyline but you can skip them if you want. I'm including them because I do consider them part of my watch list. The comic I'm including is only relevant if you want to know where Anakin get's his scar from. I usually read it in order. And the two novels, well, one is just super cool and gives some back story to Tarkin. The other one, Dark Disciple, you need to read if some of the series episodes of Tales of the Underworld are to make sense. Also helps explain a later episode of Bad Batch.

This is the list as it sits as of December 2025. The links for each episode go directly to Disney+. And for those of you who can't read Aurebesh, Darth Vader is saying "Watch us correctly or feel the wrath of the dark side!" I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!

The Integrated Storyline Method

This takes some effort and switching back and forth between some series episodes and the movies at specific time intervals to work properly. But when you get it right, it is so worth it! Trust me you won't be disappointed!

PRO TIP: Have two TVs or a iPad/Laptop and a TV to do this to make starting and stopping multiple shows easier and more seamless.
